Polyphenylene Oxide - PPO

Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) is a high-strength engineering plastic that is non-toxic, transparent and low in relative density. It boasts excellent mechanical strength, stress relaxation resistance, creep resistance, heat resistance, water resistance, water vapor resistance and dimensional stability. Its most prominent feature is that it exhibits superior dimensional stability and outstanding electrical insulation under long-term load, with a wide operating temperature range that allows long-term use between -127°C and 121°C. It also has excellent water and water vapor resistance, and its products have high tensile strength, impact strength and good creep resistance. In addition, it features good wear resistance and electrical properties.

Product Features

Comprehensive performance, excellent electrical insulation and low water absorption, but with a tendency to stress cracking.
Superior electrical insulation and water resistance, good wear resistance and electrical properties, and excellent dimensional stability.
High heat resistance: the higher the PPO content, the better the heat resistance, with a heat distortion temperature of up to 190°C.
Good flame retardancy and self-extinguishing properties.
