Polycarbonate (PC)

Polycarbonate, commonly abbreviated as PC in English and also known as PC plastic, is a high-molecular polymer containing carbonate groups in its molecular chain. Due to the unique structure of polycarbonate, it has become the general engineering plastic with the fastest growth rate among the five major engineering plastics.

Key Advantages

Mechanical Properties: It has high strength, high modulus of elasticity, high impact strength, excellent fatigue resistance, good dimensional stability, low creep (with minimal changes even under high-temperature conditions), high transparency, and can be freely dyed.
Thermal Aging Resistance: It has a wide operating temperature range; the UL temperature index of reinforced PC reaches 120~140℃ (and it also has excellent long-term outdoor aging resistance).
Solvent Resistance: No stress cracking occurs.
Water Stability: It is prone to decomposition when exposed to water at high temperatures (caution is required when using it in high-temperature and high-humidity environments).
Insulation Performance: Excellent (it can maintain stable electrical performance even in humid and high-temperature environments, making it an ideal material for manufacturing electronic and electrical components).
Dielectric Constant: 3.0-3.2.
Arc Resistance: 120 seconds.
Moldability: It can be processed by injection molding or extrusion using ordinary equipment.
